ADHD PRESCRIPTION REFILL POLICY

Parents and/ or Caregivers,

Effective January 1, 2021, we are now able to refill ADHD medications via ePrescribe. Our policy when requesting prescription refills for stimulant medications used in the treatment of ADHD is as follows:

We ask that refill requests for these medications be made at least 24 hours in advance as these prescriptions are orderd by your primary care doctor.  Refill requests made on Saturday may not be ready for pick up until Monday at your pharmacy.

It is also required by the physicians of this practice that the patient be seen a minimum of twice yearly, both for an annual checkup and a medication recheck evaluation. These appointments are important because they allow the doctor to monitor how the medication is affecting the patient's behavior/mood, appetite, weight, height, sleep, blood pressure, and heart rate. The doctor may ask for additional rechecks if the medication is adjusted. Prescriptions will be held if these appointments are not kept.
