In case of a life-threatening emergency, call 911. For urgent care during office hours, we’ll prioritize your call. Learn when to visit the emergency room and what conditions can wait for a regular appointment. Your child’s health and safety are our top priority.

Emergency and Urgent Care Information

In the event of a life-threatening emergency or serious accident, call 911 immediately for prompt assistance. For other urgent matters during regular office hours, please inform the operator that it’s an emergency, and your call will be addressed as a priority.

Emergency Room Visits

If your child requires an emergency room visit (e.g., stitches, asthma attack, seizure), most insurance companies provide a 24-hour window to notify our office. However, if you visit the emergency room for minor issues (e.g., sore throat, cold, earache), many insurance companies may deny the claim.

Non-Urgent Illnesses and Conditions

Below is a list of common illnesses and conditions that are typically not considered urgent and can wait until office hours for proper care:

  • Sore throat

  • Ear ache

  • Sunburn

  • Diarrhea

  • Nose bleeds

  • Congestion

  • Cough

  • Constipation

  • Minor injuries

  • Behavior problems

  • Runny nose

  • Lice

  • Thrush

  • Diaper rash

  • Chronic complaints (e.g., headaches lasting for weeks)
